About: Ikea is a multinational company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture (such as beds, chairs and desks), appliances and home accessories. As of January 2008, it is the world’s largest furniture retailer.
Objective: Ikea wants to enforce that they carry interesting merchandise but at very affordable prices. They did not want to come off as having cheap products though.
Solution: Type driven print ads with key words and phrases about the company. Starting with an adjective about their products, an achievement and then a word about their prices.
Viral video of people in the MoMA coming across an exhibit of furniture. This shows people the great designs of the products the company has. Then at the end showing the logo.
